Cut & Paste Mixology - Inspired by DJ Shadow - Sample Kit

In the latest release in the hugely popular ‘Inspired By’ series, MPC-Samples is proud to present our homage to one of the most influential producers of all time; the one and only DJ Shadow.

Inside you’ll find a heart felt collection of 499 drums and drum kits inspired by the sound of DJ Shadow’s classic works from the timeless classic ‘Entroducing’ right up to ‘The Less You Know, The Better’.

First up we have a drum library containing 196 layered kicks, snares, hats and percussion. You know what to expect – vinyl filth, warm vintage tones and drums heavily seeped in character all expertly layered to give the unique and fresh twist you now come to expect from MPC-Samples.com’s signature drums.

In the next folder you’ll find a further 247 drum and percussion samples organised into 8 full ‘hybrid’ kits each containing a mix of multisampled vinyl drum hits and perfectly matched percussion and fx sounds, all laid out into ready-mixed finger drumming kits across your sixteen pads.

Each kit also includes a unique bass tone which can be used with the 16 level function on your MPC to create your own bass lines, plus also features a selection of fx and instrument hits (strings, piano, guitar etc) - a great starting point for building your own Shadow-esque beats.

Finally there’s a bonus folder containing a further eight vinyl break kits (made up of 72 kick, snare and hats) along with 27 additional instrument & fx sounds (99 bonus sounds in total).

‘Cut & Paste Mixology’ is compatible with all MPC models, with random layer playback included in many of the MPC Software and MPC5000 kits which will play back one of up to 4 different timbre variations of a particular drum instrument, giving your drums a superbly realistic and natural sound. As the MPC1000/2500/500 do not support random layer playback, we’ve utilised velocity layer switching instead in these models.

Maschine users can also take advantage of the included kits by directly importing them into Maschine 1.8 or Maschine 2.x – each imported kit will create a unique 16 pad Maschine group that exactly matches the kit layout of the MPC version.
