Description:
Main top right PCB board for your MPC 2500 with SMOOTH jog wheel encoder and click style buttons. Our boards boast high quality clicking tact switches. These switches give more feel on the unit when deep into workflow. No more presses wondering if the switch was triggered. This is the board to repair if you have buttons, or encoders that are not activating. Fix your MPC the easy way instead of soldering in all the connectors. These boards are plug and play. Please make sure you read the whole description of this part as a few things have changed. Unlike the original version of these boards, the new V3 version does NOT need the JJ OS. Any OS can be used.
We upgraded the JOG Wheels as many professional users had requested. No longer is the encoder slow, clicky and hard to spin. It now utilizes the same exact one as the MPC2000XL. They also feature a dust shield behind the jog wheel so dust cannot get into the pot as easily. This prolongs the life of pot (see picture)
We have 4 different options on Jog Wheel. Each have their own characteristics and everyone has their own preference. (see pictures)
"2000XL Version" Jog Wheel resembles the MPC2000XL. This wheel fits the space on the 2500 perfectly. IT does not wobble, It is printed using MultiJet Fusion Printing (recommended)
"The V2 Version" Is a circular jog wheel available in two different colors (Metallic Silver and Metallic Black), This one is just about the same size as the original (1mm smaller on each side) and has a lighter feel to it. Downside is since its an open bottom style rather than D pot, if it is not pressed on securely it can make it wobble. Sometimes it can be hard to get it completely straight, takes some patience. If you want a tighter feel we would suggest going with the 3000 version or the Original Insert version
"The 3000 Version" Is a smaller circular jog wheel with thumb hole available in black only. This wheel is smaller than the original wheel by about 4 mm on each side. It gives more the feel of the original MPC3000 smaller jog wheel. It fits on sturdy and has a great feel.
"Original Insert Version" This is an insert that goes into your original jog wheel to make it work with the new style PCB Board. So you can use your original wheel. Best method is to hot glue this in once installed to avoid issues.
LED Upgrade Option:
You can select to have the BLUE LED lights installed for an extra $65.00. This can be done next to the add to cart button. If you want a different color LED other than BLUE installed please contact us via email. The LEDs look like this... Few things on them we changed for the better.

With the new design some things have changed...
1. The new encoder moves smooth, and feels like the MPC2000XL. It works great
2. Since the encoder is different you will have to use a different JOG wheel, they jog wheels are included with the PCB board.
We have 3 different options on Jog Wheel. Each have their own characteristics. (see pictures)
3. The Switches Click so you can feel them clicking
4. The PCB is thicker and stronger to prevent cracking, this is why at times the buttons can seem to be a tighter fit but they will still work perfectly.
5. The original Akai VOL rotary POT is discontinued. The new replacement rotary on these boards will move a bit more aggressively than the original POT. At top dead center it will only be at 35% and then go to 100% from that point. It still operates as it should however will have a different feel and at top dead center will not be at exactly 50% like the original - The original record volume pots on these boards are also discontinued, so we had to remanufactuer a new replacement. They are a bit taller but work the same as original and the knobs can still press over them
